30 Years of Scope on the Skies

The spring of 1990 was the end of my first year as Planetarium Director for the Kansas City Missouri School District (KCPS), and the beginning of several years of teaching with a Planetarium as my classroom.
1990 was also the year that I started writing Scope on the Skies for Science Scope Magazine, the professional journal for Middle School Science Teachers from the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA). Science Scope Magazine is published 8 or 9 times each year, and this month, September, marks my 30th year writing the column. As of the November/December 2020 issue I will have written and had published 250 columns.
