During June and July 2015 the inner planet Venus and the outer planet Jupiter move into and out of a very close conjunction on June 29^th and 30^th. Around mid-month for June and July the waxing crescent Moon will be in conjunction with each planet or both depending on the date.
Despite the usual summer clouds and smoke from wild fires in the western U.S. and Canada I was able to take this series of pictures – all were all taken around 9-10 pm CDT.
