Mars and Jupiter Share Longitude

   Tuesday December 1st the planets Mars and Jupiter are aligned in an arrangement known as heliocentric conjunction. The two planets are on the same side of the Sun and are approximately at the same heliocentric longitude of 160.8o as measured along the celestial equator.
