Triple Conjunction

Thursday morning August 6th there will be an opportunity to see a triple conjunction between Jupiter, Mercury, and the star Regulus, in the constellation Leo the Lion. As the graphic shows this will occur within about 1 hour after sunset and will be rather low above the western horizon.

However if your local horizon is flat enough this should prove to be an interesting conjunction to view, especially with binoculars.

Caution: Objects viewed with an optical aid are further than they appear.
