A Saturn and Moon Conjunction

Friday morning, January 16th, the 25-day old waning crescent Moon will be within about 2o from the planet Saturn as this graphic shows. The two will make for an interesting view through binoculars with the Moon shining at -11 apparent magnitude compared to the 0.55 apparent magnitude for Saturn.
This is few minutes from a 18 minute video of a solar system tour I developed to be accompanied by an original composition called ‘Orbit’ – written by Daniel Eichenbaum.

Caution: Objects viewed with an optical aid are further than they appear.
