One of the perks of teaching is that often you get to see your students doing ‘their thing’. This past semester I had two students take me up on the idea of writing a song relating to the class content, and then of course performing it for their classmates.
In my Physical Science class Chris wrote a song about the San Andreas fault, an Earth Science topic. For his performance on the banjo he was accompanied by his younger brother doing percussion on a lab table.
In my General Astronomy class Dani wrote a song about Pluto and then with her guitar shared it with the class.
