   The line up of our Moon, planets, and certain stars along the ecliptic continues – as it does every day and night. It is convenient that with this arrangement of celestial objects it is easy to form a mental image of the ecliptic path across the sky. Click here to see a graphic, from a previous post, that shows the ecliptic.

june4-bino   On Wednesday evening, 4 June, the 6.5 day old waxing crescent Moon will be within 6-7o degrees from the star Regulus in the constellation Leo the Lion.
