Moon and Jupiter

Moon and Jupiter 7:45 pm CDT

This morning I forgot to post something about the Moon and Jupiter being close this evening. Here is a sort of consolation – the waxing gibbous Moon and Jupiter at 7:45 pm CDT. Jupiter appears dark because in order to not over expose the Moon I had to use a fast shutter speed (1/10s), a high aperture setting (f18), and a low ISO (100).

Caution: Objects viewed with an optical aid are further than they appear.
