Whoops! I posted this a day early. Jupiter is at western quadrature on Saturday the 12th, not today the 11th.Today the giant planet gas Jupiter reaches the point along its orbit around the Sun where Jupiter would be described as being at western quadrature. It is at a 90 degree angle relative to the Earth and the Sun.
Where is Jupiter currently? Jupiter rises a couple of hours after midnight local time and by sunrise is very high above the southeastern horizon in the constellation Gemini the Twins.
